A few years ago, we were introduced to the first Carbon Tactical Shooting Tripod. A mountain of a tripod, suitable for the very heaviest rifles. It has been popular in the USA for some time now because of the many "outdoor" shooters, hunters etc. Some there have a garden comparable to a park with us ;-)....
It was a breath of fresh air to shoot with! Convenient to shoot standing or kneeling supported and with the smart ball joints with locking levers also tremendously fine to shoot precision. But yes: The Dutch shooter was not ready yet....
Now there is finally some progress in the use here of tripods. Also because of practical reasons, think for example of the professional rat controllers and hunters doing damage control. For older shooters, lying on the ground for a while is not an option at all (anymore).... These tripods stand firmly on any surface. Clamp your weapon in it (Picatinny or Arca rail) and go. Ready for extreme precision shooting!
