RTI Prophet 2, the brilliant successor to the already highly accurate Prophet 1. We introduced RTI to the Benelux region several years ago and have gained a wealth of experience with the brand. Essentially, there are improvements in three main areas: the barrel, the valve, and the breech block.
Prophet II models in .22 and .25 calibers are equipped with RTI’s lightly-choked proprietary barrel (RPB), which delivers improved accuracy with both slugs and pellets.
The .177- and .30-caliber guns are equipped with choked Lothar Walther barrels.
There are two barrel lengths: 20 inches and 24 inches.
The new breech block features an integrated 70 cc plenum to increase muzzle energy. (The first-generation Prophet’s plenum had a capacity of 57 cc.)
This works in conjunction with a new valve that uses air from the barrel to close more quickly. The valve opens from zero to full in 1 millisecond. As a result, the Prophet II can deliver high power from low HPA pressures with great efficiency.
The regulator on the Prophet II Performance model can operate at pressures ranging from 80 to 180 bar (1,160 to 2,610 PSI).
In fact, there are two Prophet II models: the base model and the “Performance” model. The Prophet II Performance package includes a carbon fiber HPA cylinder, adjustable hammer spring tension, and the aforementioned externally adjustable regulator.
