You can also have it sent to your phone via Bluetooth. It always works, and you can set it to different modes depending on the expected speed of your pellet or slug. The slowest setting is "bow," followed by "pistol," and for super-fast projectiles, set it to "rifle."
You can also adjust the sensitivity.
You should aim it roughly at your target and place it slightly behind the muzzle.
