A few years ago, we were introduced to the first Carbon Tactical Shooting Tripod. It’s a rock-solid tripod, suitable for even the heaviest rifles. It’s been popular in the U.S. for a while now among the many outdoor shooters, hunters, and others. Some people there have yards that are comparable to parks here ;-)...
It was a breath of fresh air to shoot with it! It’s handy for shooting while standing or kneeling with support, and thanks to the smart ball joints with locking levers, it’s also great for precision shooting. But then again: The Dutch shooter wasn’t quite ready for it yet...
We’re finally seeing some progress in the use of tripods here. This is also due to practical reasons—think, for example, of professional rodent control specialists and hunters who deal with pest control. For older shooters, lying down on the ground for even a moment is no longer an option at all... Zip/ratchet/click, and your rigid tripod stands firmly on any surface. Clip your weapon into place (Picatinny or Arca rail) and you’re good to go. Ready for precision shots!
